From the 11 proteins tested, TIMP-2 [116.33 ± 23.11 ng/ml vs 106.36 ± 23.67 ng/ml, p = 0.097] and ST-2 [32695.13 pg/ml (IQR 23739.93–44271.92) vs 27488.75 pg/ml (IQR 20538.90–34175.25), p = 0.064] tended to have higher levels in AF patients, and factor IX [118.50±28.01% vs 133.25±22.62, p = 0.015] had lower levels in AF patients (Table 2). Here, TIMP2 is linked to atrial fibrillation.
