Given that reduced levels of full‐length Trio and the truncated mutations are linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and intellect0ual disability (Pengelly et al, 2016; Sadybekov et al, 2017), our results highlight a potential connection between BDNF‐induced chromatin dynamics and exon‐specific gene expression in neuronal disorders.
