Interestingly, not only Wg but also Wnt6 was ectopically induced in CIN tissues (Fig. 7a), wg1-lacZ, Beta and Gamma CRMs, and the 630-bp- and 590-bp-long fragments comprising the Gamma CRM were activated (Fig. 7b) and their expression levels were drastically reduced by expressing a dominant negative version of JNK (Bsk in Drosophila, Fig. 7c). This evidence concerns the gene WNT6 and cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
