Of note, the top induced inhibitory immune-checkpoint was found to be LAG3 (lymphocyte-activation gene 3; syn.: CD223), dominantly induced in “DAD2” and “pneumonia” based on RNA-seq, which was also confirmed by immunohistochemistry wherein mainly lymphocytes showed strong staining signals (Figures 7E and S18). This evidence concerns the gene LAG3 and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
