IFNB1 and infection: Given the importance of the type I IFN response to the immunophenotype observed upon infection with LgyLRV1+ (Rossi et al., 2017) coupled with the observation that modules containing genes with the highest kTotal and adjusted R-squared (8h_bisque4 and 24h_turquoise modules) are enriched in the cellular response to IFN-β (Figures 3A, B, Table 3) led us to further explore the systemic role of type I IFNs for gene modulation.
