Studies have shown that the level of TNF-α was elevated in ischemic stroke and it has been implicated in cerebral I/R injury, exerting effects by regulating the inflammatory response and PCD pathways including apoptosis, necroptosis, and pyroptosis (Hallenbeck, 2002; Maddahi et al., 2011), which is consistent with our results. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and ischemic stroke.
