Compared with paired normal tissues, XBP1 was expressed at higher levels in breast invasive carcinoma, colon adenocarcinoma, lymphoid neoplasm diffuses large B-cell lymphoma, glioblastoma multiforme, acute myeloid leukemia, brain lower grade glioma, ovarian cancer, rectum adenocarcinoma, testicular germ cell tumors, thymoma, uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (Supplymentary Figure S2), suggesting XBP1 might be also a suitable target in these cancer types. This evidence concerns the gene XBP1 and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma.
