The detailed functions of FDX1 have not been elucidated in many cancers, and only Zhang et al. (Zhang et al., 2021) reported that FDX1 deficiency leaded to numerous metabolic changes in LUAD, as well as changed in tumor-associated inflammation and immune microenvironment, which also corroborated with our partial results.
