In our study, we mainly demonstrated that YB1 dephosphorylation attenuated atherosclerosis in vivo, and YB1 dephosphorylation decreased CCLs (CCL2, CCL7, CCL11, CCL12) expressions in VSMCs in vitro, which may be a critical determinant of the reduction in atherosclerotic plaques. This evidence concerns the gene CCL7 and atherosclerosis.
