Considering the essential role of T cells in immunity, we proceeded to perform a descending clustering of T-cell populations and identified six cell types, including CD4+naïve T cells, CD4+ effector memory T cells, CD8+ effector T cells, CD8+ mucosa–associated invariant T cells, CD4+ regulatory T cells, and proliferative T cells, with the proportion of CD8+ effector T cells predominating in keloids (Figures 4A–C).
