First, in our study, we confirmed that TIM-4 was highly selectively expressed in macrophages, which is consistent with previous reports, but the role of TIM-4 on other immune cells has not been clearly defined in CRSwNP and a murine model, it could not be completely ruled out that TIM-4 is involved in the formation of nasal polyps by regulating other immune cells.
