When serum corrected calcium was assessed as tertiles, compared with the middle tertile (8.7–9.1 mg/dl), the multivariate-adjusted ORs (95% CIs) of first total stroke significantly associated with the lowest tertile and the highest tertile of serum albumin-corrected calcium were 1.37 (1.10, 1.70) and 1.30 (1.04, 1.62), respectively. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is Stroke.
