IL17A and psoriasis: Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) is a chronic, inflammatory, and recurrent skin disease in the psoriasis spectrum.[2] It is characterized by an eruption of sterile pustules on the palms and soles and is the most common type of rash in patients with SAPHO syndrome.[1] Secukinumab is a human monoclonal antibody that targets IL-17A and is proven to be effective in the treatment of autoimmune psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
