EBV has three types of latent infection, of which type III expresses all latent infection genes, such as latent membrane proteins LMP1/2, non-coding EBV encoded RNA (EBER1/2), six Epstein-Barr nuclear antigens (EBNA1, EBNA2, EBNA3A, EBNA3B, EBNA3C and EBNA LP), and viral microRNA (miRNA) 199. This evidence concerns the gene PDLIM7 and disease arising from reactivation of latent virus.
