It has been reported that Caspase-1 deficiency or its inhibitors may prevent the inflammatory response of stroke, encephalomyelitis, TBI, and other neurological diseases and promote the repair of neurological function by reducing the expression of inflammasome and pyroptosis-related proteins IL-1β, IL-18, and GSDMD in the CNS [58–61].
