After laparoscopic radical hysterectomy surgery for cervical cancer, the counts of circulating lymphocytes (CD3+ cells, CD4+ cells, and NK cells), as well as the CD4+ to CD8+ cell ratio were significantly lower in the sevoflurane group than in the propofol group, and compared with baseline, the numbers of circulating lymphocytes other than CD8+ cells decreased significantly in both groups [24]. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and cervical carcinoma.
