We evaluated the expression levels of a series of chemokines (CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL3 and CXCL5) and their receptor CXCR2 in Ang II-treated retinas to investigate the role of chemokines and their receptors in hypertensive retinopathy. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and hypertensive retinopathy.
