On the other side, S100A1 seems an important marker in the differential diagnosis between TFEB-rearranged renal cell carcinoma and papillary renal cell carcinoma (p = 0.0152) using 5% and 10% of positivity whereas it is not significant with higher cutoffs, suggesting to use the high threshold of positivity. This evidence concerns the gene S100A1 and renal cell carcinoma.
