Regarding the genes involved in the aforementioned pathways, there was a downregulation of several genes involved in the phagosome formation and function at 24h after infection, including those encoding for several Fcγ receptors (FCGR1A, FCGR2A, FCGR2B, FCGR2C, FCGR3A, FCGR3B), toll-like receptors (TLR2, TLR4, TLR6), other sensors of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (CLEC7A, CD14), integrins and other receptors involved in phagocytosis (ITGB3, ITGAM, ITGB2, CD36) (Figure 2C). Here, CD36 is linked to infection.
