To our knowledge, this is the first case of an RMST-ALK rearrangement based on the fusion of the 5′ UTR of RMST and exon 20 of ALK. RMST, a long non-coding RNA, regulates mRNA and protein expression in the cytoplasm and is expressed in cervical cancer and triple-negative breast cancer (9). This evidence concerns the gene ALK and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
