Previous studies have reported that upregulation of APAF1 expression improves cisplatin sensitivity, while APAF1 deficiency prevents PTX‐induced apoptosis in cancer.[23] It was also revealed that microRNA‐21 transferred from cancer‐associated adipocytes and fibroblasts into ovarian cancer cells suppresses PTX‐induced apoptosis and confers chemoresistance by inhibiting APAF1 expression.[24] Here, we found that upregulation of ABL antagonized GC cell apoptosis induced by multiple drugs. This evidence concerns the gene APAF1 and gastric cancer.
