Early studies have reported increases in CD4+ TM cells and decreases in naïve CD4+ T cells in SLE, and also showed augmented CD4+ TEM cells, as well as the terminally differentiated TEM cells re-expressing CD45RA (TEMRA), in SLE.2 3 10 Different from most previous studies that compared patients with SLE or LN with healthy control subjects, we studied two groups of patients with different types of immune-mediated nephropathy.
