HIF1A and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Likewise, Geza et al. [29] reported the significant association of diabetes (type 1 & 2) with HIF1A 1772 C/T polymorphism, and Yamada et al. [35] also suggested that HIF1A 1772 C/T is significantly associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and HIF1A 1790 G/A is not.
