Here, we investigated the antitumor effects of matrine on human NB SK-N-AS and SK-N-DZ cells and its underlying mechanism and found that matrine inhibited the proliferation of NB cells in vitro and in vivo by inducing autophagy by blocking the AKT (AKT serine/threonine kinase)-mTOR pathway. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is neuroblastoma.
