Our results suggest that there is a positive correlation between gene expression levels of the members of SARS-CoV-2 entry-mediated pathways, namely TMPRSS2, TMPRSS4, and TRIM31, which are involved in the viral infection of gastrointestinal tumors, cell lines and patient-derived organoids in comparison to their matched normal counterparts. Here, TRIM31 is linked to digestive system neoplasm.
