Additional analyses showed that higher expression of NKX3‐1 was significantly associated with a lower Gleason score (International Society of Urological Pathology [ISUP] Group 5, P = 0.001, Figure 4c), better disease‐free survival of PCa (hazard ratio, HR = 0.64, 95% confidence interval, 95%CI: 0.53–0.97, P = 0.038, Figure 4d), better biochemical recurrence‐free survival (HR = 0.62, 95%CI: 0.41–0.95, P = 0.026, Figure 4e), and better metastasis free survival (HR = 0.66, 95%CI: 0.44–1.00, P = 0.047, Figure 4f). Here, NKX3-1 is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
