PACC1 and infection: Infection experiments showed that translocation of HpaA-AvrBs3∆2 and HpaA1-70-AvrBs3∆2 was restored in strain 85*∆hpaChrcUY318D, suggesting that the HpaC-dependent translocation of HpaA depends on a certain conformation of the cytoplasmic domain of HrcU rather than on the direct interaction of HpaA with HpaC (Figure 5D).
