NLRP3 and cardiovascular disorder: MCC950, a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of NLRP3, inhibited canonical and non-canonical NLRP3 activation and improved various NLRP3-associated diseases in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, lung inflammation, asthma, stroke, liver disease, and many other inflammatory conditions (27, 28).
