When we assessed these findings for their clinical relevance, increased circulating TIM-3+CD4+T cell populations in our AD patients were linked to higher disease activity, i.e. SCORAD values (r =0.6060, P=0.0004, Figure 3D), higher serum levels of total IgE (r =0.3633, P=0.048, Figure 3A), as well as higher number of circulating blood eosinophils (r =0.6126, P=0.0003, Figure 3B) and CD19+B cells (r =0.5120, P=0.0038, Figure 3C). Here, CD19 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
