On non-hematopoietic tissues, high levels of CCR9 mRNA expression are found on >20% of the samples from heart, bladder, small intestine, prostate, brain, cervix, endometrium, muscle and head and neck tumors, whereas on kidney, urothelium, pharynx, pancreas, thyroid and skin tumors CCR9 mRNA is over-expressed in >10% of the analyzed tumor samples (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene CCR9 and skin neoplasm.
