TLR4 and obesity disorder: The polysaccharide obtained from the sporoderm-broken spores of Ganoderma lucidum, which is a β-D-glucan containing (1→3)-β-D-Glcp, (1→3,6)-β-D-Glcp, (1→6)-β-D-Glcp and terminal-β-D-Glcp moieties, suppresses obesity and inflammation by inhibiting Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/myeloid differential protein-88 (Myd88)/NF-κB signaling in mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD) (2).
