Indeed, 20 to 100% of biopsy specimens from patients with ovarian adenocarcinoma, breast cancer (estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) and -negative (ER-)), metastatic melanoma, head and neck (H&N), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC, squamous and adenocarcinoma), mesothelioma and urothelial cancer, scored with more than 50% of cells positive for MICA/B expression (Figure 1d). The gene discussed is MICA; the disease is breast carcinoma.
