By comparison, the presence of liver fibrosis as indicated by a Fib-4 score ≥1.45 over the follow-up period was independently associated with the male gender (p = 0.013), CD4+T cell counts values (p< 0.001) and specific CD4+T cell count thresholds <200 cells/mm3 (p = 0.046) or <500 cells/mm3 (p = 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and Hepatic fibrosis.
