This corresponded with the finding of a lowered CD62L expression [median MFI, 20 x 104 (IQR 99 x 103-24 x104) vs. 26 x 104 (IQR 22 x 104-30 x 104), p = 0.0036] and a lower percentage of CD62Lbright eosinophils in COVID-19 patients with active disease when compared with cells obtained from healthy controls [median percentage, 68.1% (IQR 39.6–77.1%) vs. 80.1% (IQR 71.3–87.4%), p = 0.0019, Figure 6]. This evidence concerns the gene SELL and COVID-19.
