CRP and neoplasm: As shown in Figure 5, the ROC analysis showed that the combination of IL-6 and CRP (AUC: 0.811, 95% CI: 0.639–0.983, P = 0.003) had a higher AUC compared with CRP alone (AUC: 0.767, 95% CI: 0.589–0.946, P = 0.011), IL-6 alone (AUC: 0.710, 95% CI: 0.524–0.896, P = 0.046), tumor markers (AUC: 0.640, 95% CI: 0.451–0.829, P = 0.184) alone, and their combination (IL-6 + CRP + tumor markers, AUC: 0.806, 95% CI: 0.633–0.979, P = 0.004).
