We further focused our attention on the network-oriented SOCS3 gene for two reasons: first, SOCS3 was the most recurrent gene among the top significant pathways into the PAH subnetwork (Fig. 3); second, SOCS3 promoter hypomethylation was negatively associated with RAP and positively associated CI in both IPAH and Associated-PAH patients suggesting a biomarker of poor hemodynamics (Fig. 4B–C). Here, LRPAP1 is linked to pulmonary arterial hypertension.
