After adjusting for age, exercise, cardiovascular diseases, peptic ulcer diseases, ADLs and IADLs, and Mini Nutritional Assessment, the risk of depression decreased by 19.9% for each 1-point increase in calf circumference (OR = 0.801, 95% CI = 0.698–0.919, p = 0.002), 13.0% for each 1- point increase in albumin (OR = 0.870, 95% CI = 0.778–0.972, p = 0.014; Figure 1).
