Two of the studies analyzed brain tissue; Albrecht et al. (2009) identified that Casp-6 immunoreactivity was active in every participant, while Ringman et al. (2016) found Lewy body pathology in 27.1% of the ADAD cases and a higher Braak scores and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) prevalence. This evidence concerns the gene CASP6 and cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
