Primary Sjogren’s syndrome (pSS) is one of the most common systemic autoimmune disorders, frequently accompanied by a variety of specific autoantibodies, such as antinuclear antibodies (ANAs), antibodies against Ro/Sjogren’s syndrome-related antigen A (SSA) and La/Sjogren’s syndrome-related antigen B(SSB), and hypergammaglobulinemia (1, 2). The gene discussed is SSB; the disease is Sjogren syndrome.
