An increasing number of studies have shown that ISM1 participates in the progression of tumorigenesis, and also regulates the migration and invasion of tumor cells, especially in solid tumors such as melanoma, hepatocellular cancer, colorectal cancer (CRC) and breast cancer, all of which are known to be angiogenesis dependent (19, 43, 44). The gene discussed is ISM1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
