Shangxun et al. (2020) found that ADAR1 is expected to reduce IL-6 levels by regulating the expression of SOCS3, thereby inhibiting inflammation and reducing sepsis. SOCS3 is also linked to STAT3, and more and more reports have shown that SOCS3 and STAT3 are abnormally expressed in different bone marrow and lymphocytes and various non-hematopoietic cells, suggesting their involvement in various infections and inflammatory diseases (Gao et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene SOCS3 and infection.
