In cancer tumors, CCL18 is mainly produced and secreted into the tumor microenvironment by tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) [9,10,11,12,13,14] and in much smaller amounts by GBM cancer cells [11], as shown in non-small cell lung cancer cells [12] and melanoma cells [15]. The gene discussed is CCL18; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
