The analysis showed that elevated circulating A-FABP level (odds ratio [OR]: 1.138; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.023–1.266; p = 0.017), SBP (OR: 1.041; 95% CI: 1.004–1.079; p = 0.028), and CRP level (per 0.1 mg/dL increment, OR: 1.275; 95% CI: 1.067–1.523; p = 0.008) were risk factors for PAD in T2DM subjects (Table 2). Here, FABP4 is linked to peripheral arterial disease.
