So far, the literature and the existing guidelines [61] indicate that (1) CTNNB1-mutated HCAs must be surgically resected or ablated, even if they measure less than 5 cm, (2) HCAs occurring in men also have to be resected or ablated, (3) any HCA measuring more than 5 cm should be resected or ablated, and (4) any HCA that is causing symptoms should be resected or ablated. The gene discussed is CTNNB1; the disease is hepatocellular adenoma.
