AKT1 and cancer: In this new list, there are many master genes such as CDKs, TWIST1, CDH1, MMPs, TP53, RB1, WNT7A, GSK3B, ATM, PTEN, BCR, ERBB2, VEGFR, SMAD, TGFB2, MAPK1, FGF1, AKT1, and HIF1A that were involved in cancer-related pathways and therefore, dysregulated in many cancers.
