GOLM1 expression is elevated in liver diseases, such as acute and autoimmune hepatitis, hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections, alcohol-related liver diseases, nonobese nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (5, 6, 7).
