A positive correlation was found between initial PMR and mammographic tumour size more than 20 mm (P = 0.029), histological tumour size more than 30 mm (P < 0.001), positive SR (P = 0.003), and radiological underestimation more than 10 mm (P = 0.021), whereas estrogen receptor (ER) status, specimen size and orientation (KliniTrayTM versus standard) did not influence initial PMR significantly. This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and neoplasm.
