Despite the divergence of reports on the impact of A2AR on hyperlocomotion, anxiety-like behavior and depressive effects, which is mostly attributable to the differential contribution of A2AR in different brain regions [37], herein, A2AR blockade in the PFC resulted in reduced hyperlocomotion and risk taking behavior in the open field which is possibly due to the synergestic nature of the selective A2A/D2 interaction in this region of the brain. The gene discussed is IGKV2D-29; the disease is Anxiety.
