Luo and Zhang and Zu et al. also observed the same phenomenon as ICA, an important role in both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and associated with gene expression and cellular functions in the synoviocytes of osteoarthritis, inhibiting ferroptosis through the Xc−/GPX4 axis, thus attenuating cell death in the RA model (Figure 6(b)) [136, 137].
