TNF and psoriasis: Due to the participation of TNF-α in the pathogenesis of several inflammatory disorders, anti-TNF-α molecules have been used over the past few years to treat inflammatory bowel diseases and other conditions that include high concentrations of this cytokine, such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis [4], although the anti-TNF-α therapy is associated with worsening multiple sclerosis, another inflammatory disease [5].
